MOTORBIKE TV REPORTER
Marco Polo 2005 is not only an adventure, it is a unique project on its own because for the first time riders without supporting vehicles will produce High Definition (HD) images of the raid and send material for the web. The great fascination of Marco Polo 2005 journey will be shared because everyone looking at the pictures made from HD filming can be easily transported “on the road” together with our riders.
The GS1150 Adventure will be used by Marco Polo’s bike-reporter, will be equipped to perform professional TV shooting in HD, the most advanced filming standard. The motorbike has been prepared to carry state of the art filming facilities for shooting in movement. Considering that Marco Polo 2005 does not have supporting vehicles, it is very important to provide the bike-reporter with freedom of movement on the saddle while operating the camera.
Besides, the GS1150 Adventure will carry a mobile satellite communication unit with handset, because communication is essential during the journey either for emergency needs either to send satellite pictures. Using one ISDN satellite unit and computer, the bike-reporter will send still pictures taken from the daily filming and insight comments to the travelogue on this web site.
You can be part of the excitement and joy of Marco Polo 2005 when our riders will be face-to-face with the Silk Road. Don’t miss it !
We are sorry to communicate that the “Bike-Reporter” Mr. Maurizio Benvenuti, had to quit the Marco Polo Motoride due to an accident in Armenia (see the story)
